This is offered in Grades 9 and 10 aimed to provide the students with broad understanding on General Psychology. It gives emphasis on the scientific study of human behavior as it surveys the nature of the discipline as well as the psychological and physiological bases of behavior. It enables students to appreciate the importance of forming wholesome attitudes and facilitates the personal development of students through enrichment activities and peer interaction.
This specialization course is offered to Grades 9 and 10 designed to acquire deeper appreciation and understanding about France, the language, etiquettes and cultural practices. The French specialization class helps broaden and widen the cultural perspective of the students as they are immersed in a different world: the language, and the culture. The choice of offering French language as one of the specialization class is rooted on the Congregation’s origin and history.
This specialization subject is designed to equip the students with the necessary skills and knowledge in food preparation and selection, meal planning and merchandising, catering, food service management and hospitality management. Culinary Arts 9 focuses on cookery which includes preparation and presentation of pastry products, appetizers, salads and dessert and hospitality management. Culinary 10 focuses on vegetable, seafood, poultry and meat dishes, stocks, sauces and soup, table setting, table napkin and skirting.
The Information and Computer Technology is a preparatory course for Grades 9 and 10 with its focus on acquisition of necessary skills and competencies in Computer Hardware Servicing like Basic Electronics, Installation, Assembling and Disassembling, and Repairing Computers.
Accounting Specialization for Grade 10 is designed to equip the students with the rudiments of accounting as well as merchandising business which include topics like cost of sales, operating income and expenses, counting of inventories as well as manufacturing firm. Through this course, the students are able to know the nature of merchandising business, different methods of inventory system and the steps on how to prepare basic bank reconciliation. The hands-on experiences as well as the concepts gained from classroom activities enable the students to make sound economic decisions and also awaken their passion for accounting-inclined careers.
