To reminisce and witness the vows done in the sacrament of marriage, the Grade 10 students hosted a Renewal of Vows as part of their Performance Task in Christian Living and Values Education (CLVE) for the 9 couples from the SPCP community on February 26, 2019.
The event started with a Mass presided by Msgr. Allen C. Aganon wherein the couples renewed their vows and promises of loyalty and everlasting love made during their wedding. Msgr. Aganon emphasized the importance of communication and connection to keep the relationship lasting.
The Mass was followed by a program prepared by the students which included locking of love locks, games, slow dancing and serenading of love songs.
Love was indeed in the air throughout the whole ceremony. The students not only witnessed how sacred marriage is but also came to know the importance of the sacrament in the lives of two people who love each other. For a marriage to last, God should really be the third person within the couple.
The program came to a close with a prayer of thanksgiving for a successful celebration and to more fruitful years for the couples.
